Kajabi Features for Coaches: Tools to run and scale your coaching business
You're charging premium prices. Your clients are getting real, life-changing transformation. And your backend? It just doesn't match up. And, it's probably costing you.
Kajabi is an all-in-one platform that can handle all sorts of different things across your business: checkout, delivery, email, automation, the list goes on. And if you're already on Kajabi, you know how good it is. But even the coaches who've been on it for years are often sitting on features they haven't touched yet.
Here are some of the best Kajabi features hiding in your account right now, because the ones you're not using yet just might be the ones that make the biggest difference.
Use pop-out or embedded checkouts
Here's what your current checkout process probably looks like to a visitor:
They land on your sales page. Great. They read through, they're sold. Fantastic. They click your button and...they're redirected to a separate checkout page.
New page loading.
Still loading.
They're already thinking about leaving.
Half of them do.
Now here's what it looks like with a pop-out or embedded checkout:
They're on your sales page. They click your button. And a checkout appears… right there, on the same page.
No redirect. No new tab. No loading screen giving them time to talk themselves out of it.
They're already caught up in the moment. Keep them there.
If you only have one payment option, embed it directly on the page. If you have multiple, the pop-out does the job. Either way, no friction, a smoother user experience, and a clear path to purchase. Less friction means better conversions, and your potential customers get the experience they expect from someone charging at your level. And don’t overlook log-ins while you're optimizing the process. For example, Kajabi discovered a 6% higher conversion rate when returning members weren’t required to log in. It just goes to show how important a smooth, low-friction checkout experience can be!
Enable Apple (and Google) Pay
You're at Tesco. Basket full. You get to the till and... "Sorry, contactless isn't working." Your purse is in the car (I literally never carry a purse).
So what do you do? Do you abandon the whole basket? Trek back to the car? Or worse, all the way home?
That's exactly what happens when your checkout doesn't offer digital wallets. Your potential client is ready to buy, and suddenly there's resistance where there shouldn't be. The moment is gone. And so are they.
When your Kajabi payments setup includes Apple Pay and Google Pay, you're meeting your clients where they're at. Just one tap and they're in.
By enabling Apple Pay, you increase checkout completion by up to 30%. That's nearly a third of the people already on your page, ready to buy. It's one of the simplest updates you can make to your sales funnels and one of the highest-impact. Oh, and it takes literally 2 minutes to set up.
Recordirectly in Kajabi
If you're still using Zoom for your coaching calls, this one's for you.
You know how Zoom makes you wait for the recording to process? Then you've got to download it, upload it to Kajabi, and manually notify your clients it's live. Sure, it sounds minor, but it adds up.
That's a lot of admin for something that should be automatic.
Recording directly in Kajabi cuts all of that out. The call ends, your recording uploads automatically, and your clients get notified instantly. No waiting, no downloading, no manual uploads, no chasing yourself or your team to get it done.
I love this Kajabi feature because it makes the whole experience feel like one connected system. Everything lives in one place, your clients get a seamless, high-value client experience, and you get your time back.
One less tool. One less thing to manage!
Use exit pop-ups
Someone lands on your sales page. They read for 30 seconds, they're intrigued, and then... the mouse creeps up to the X. Gone.
10-50% of visitors do this. Not because they weren't interested, but because they weren't quite ready yet. And if you're not doing anything to catch them on the way out, you're letting a huge chunk of warm leads just walk away.
And that's what exit pop-ups are for!
The beauty of this Kajabi feature is that you can tailor it depending on where they're leaving from.
On your homepage: Show them your free lead magnet and get them on your list so you can keep showing up in their inbox until they are ready.
On your sales page: Hit them with some urgency, like "Doors close in 24 hours," or a limited discount. Give them a reason to stop and reconsider.
You've already done the hard work of getting them to the page. Whether that's through ads, content, or word of mouth, that traffic cost you something, whether that's time or money or both. Don't let them leave empty-handed!
A/B test what's actually working
If you're not testing, you're guessing. And guessing costs money.
This is one of Kajabi's standout features, and one that most coaches aren't using nearly enough. There are two places you really want to be doing this:
Email Subject Lines
60-80% of course sales come from email. Which means if nobody's opening your emails, it doesn't matter how good what's inside is. You're invisible. And your subject line is the gatekeeper.
Kajabi lets you A/B test your subject lines directly in the platform. Write your email, test two subject lines, and see what actually converts. No guessing, no gut feeling, just data.
Landing Pages
You're spending time, energy, and probably money driving traffic to your landing pages. If you're not tracking what's working, you're essentially paying to guess.
Kajabi now A/B tests your landing pages too. Headlines, videos, CTAs, opt-in forms... test whatever you want! Is a video converting better than a static image? Does one headline outperform another? You don't have to wonder.
Kajabi also splits your audience for you and tracks the winner, so you can see what's resonating and make decisions based on real numbers. The ease of use here is the whole point. The tech does the heavy lifting, and you just act on the results.
Add an order bump (aka the checkout gum)
You're back at the Tesco checkout (this place is full of business lessons). You spot a pack of Wrigley's Airwaves Gum sitting right there on the stand. You're already paying. It's already in your hand. You chuck it on the conveyor belt without a second thought.
Easy decision. Easy to add. Your order bump is working just like it should.
An order bump is a small, relevant add-on that appears right on the checkout page. One checkbox and it's in the basket. Your client is already in buying mode. They've already said yes. You're just making it easy to say yes to a little bit more.
It works brilliantly for digital products. Think a complementary workbook, a bonus resource, a quick-win mini course, or digital downloads that naturally sit alongside what they're already purchasing. Something that adds value without feeling like a hard sell.
And the numbers back it up. Kajabi reports that businesses using order bumps add an average of $35 (£28) per sale. Not bad for a few clicks and a little extra effort!
Upsell with “Dessert”
An upsell is the waiter appearing at your table after your main and asking, "Would you like to see the dessert menu?"
You weren't thinking about it YET, but now that they've mentioned it... maybe you are.
That's exactly what an upsell does. Your client has just bought from you. They're excited, they're in the yes energy, and they trust you. That's the moment you offer them something more (a higher tier, a VIP add-on, exclusive content, a longer programme). Something that takes their result even further.
And it works. Upsells convert at 10-30%. That's 1-3 out of every 10 buyers saying yes to more.
And before you get in your head about being pushy or salesy, remember: they already said yes to you once. They already trust you. You're just giving them the option to go deeper and get there faster.
Offering the dessert menu isn't pressure. It's good service.
Small moves. Big numbers.
Your clients are investing serious money in themselves. They're trusting you with their goals, their growth, and their results. Your backend should reflect that same level of intention... and the good news is, it doesn't take a complete overhaul to get there.
Every checkout you smooth out, every email you test, every upsell you switch on goes straight to your bottom line. These Kajabi features are already built in, already waiting. Sometimes the biggest wins come from the smallest switches.
And if looking at this list feels like one more thing to add to an already full plate, that's what I'm here for. My Kajabi Done-For-You build handles it all so you can focus on the parts only you can do.
